The Junior League of Indianapolis has named Susan Brooks the 2021 Mary Harriman Community Leadership Award recipient, which is awarded by the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. The award is named for the social activist who founded the Junior League in 1901 and recognizes volunteer efforts in social responsibility. Brooks served as the U.S. Representative for Indiana’s 5th congressional district from 2012-2020 and was U.S. Attorney for the southern district of Indiana. She serves on the boards of the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana, the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and many more and the Indiana Youth Institute.
