Junior Achievement Campaign Gets Boost
A capital campaign launched last year by Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana has received a major contribution. The Fort Wayne-based Edward D. and Ione Auer Foundation has donated $1 million to the Casting the Vision campaign, which supports the organization’s new Allen County campus.
JANI is looking to raise $12 million to relocate and expand its headquarters, build a new entrepreneurship center, and a new space for its JA BizTown and JA Finance Park efforts. The donation brings the organization to more than a quarter of the way to its goal.
"We are incredibly grateful to the Auer Foundation for their support of Casting the Vision," said Jim Johnston, board chair of the JA Foundation. "The Foundation believes a better-educated workforce creates a stronger economy for Fort Wayne and all of northeast Indiana. This pledge will certainly help us make our vision a reality."
