Jump IN For Healthy Kids Names Communications Director

Jump IN for Healthy Kids has named Megan McKinney Cooper communications director. She has more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit marketing, public relations and fund development. Cooper most recently served as director of marketing and development for Early Learning Indiana and led the 119-year-old organization (formerly Day Nursery) through a major rebrand and name change. She came to Indianapolis in 2000 to work at the Indiana Repertory Theatre where she stayed for eight years.
The mission of Jump IN for Healthy Kids is to create healthy places, neighborhoods, and communities where families have real opportunities to make healthy choices that promote their health, vitality and well-being, including access to affordable, healthy food and meaningful opportunities to play and be active. Jump IN is a community-wide initiative created in 2014 by the CEOs of Indianapolis’ largest health care systems, businesses and nonprofit organizations, and the United Way of Central Indiana to help address central Indiana’s lagging health status. Jump IN works with schools, child care centers, employers and community organizations throughout Marion and its surrounding counties.
