Johnson County Tallies 2015 Economic Wins

The Johnson County Development Corp. is touting its economic successes from 2015. During its annual meeting Thursday, the organization highlighted expansions and relocations projected to create nearly 650 jobs.
In all, the JCDC says companies invested $32.3 million in growth efforts. Companies also retained nearly 230 jobs last year. The organization listed businesses that announced expansions or relocations in the county, including:

- MainSource Bank
- Overton Tube Forming Inc.

- Taxman Brewery
- Tilson HR
- Trueblood Oil
JCDC also saluted outgoing chairman emeritus and Johnson Memorial Health Chief Executive Officer Larry Heydon. The event included a panel discussing entrepreneurial placemaking that was moderated by Tilson HR President Brent Tilson and featured Launch Fishers founder John Wechsler, DeveloperTown partner Ken Miller and Verge founder Matt Hunckler.
