Cheryl Morphew, president and chief executive officer of the Johnson County Development Corp., has resigned. The organization says she left to pursue other opportunities. Morphew led the JCDC for 11 years. A committee of investors and other stakeholders will begin the search for Morphew’s successor. The organization expects to hire someone for the position by the second quarter of 2017. In September, Morphew led a delegation to Japan to meet with some of the county’s largest employers. Dana Monson, manager of community development initiatives will oversee the organization’s daily operations until a successor is named. The JCDC recently celebrated its 25th anniversary.
