Multiple Jobs Announcements Coming

State leaders will be taking part in economic development events Tuesday throughout the state. Indiana Economic Development Corp. President Jim Schellinger will be in Bourbon this morning for an announcement involving nearly 200 jobs. Also this morning, Governor Mike Pence will join executives from Knight Transportation for an economic development announcement in Hendricks County. This afternoon, Lieutenant Governor Eric Holcomb will help cut the ribbon on Boar’s Head Brand’s delicatessen product manufacturing and R&D facility in New Castle, which is expected to result in more than 200 new jobs.
Indiana Economic Development Corp. President Jim Schellinger will be in Bourbon at 10:00 a.m. The state says the Marshall County announcement will involve nearly 200 jobs coming to north central Indiana. Governor Pence’s announcement with Knight Transportation executives comes at 10:15 a.m.
Lieutenant Governor Eric Holcomb will be in New Castle Tuesday afternoon to cut the ribbon on Boar’s Head Brand’s delicatessen product manufacturing and R&D facility. The company announced plans in 2014 for the 150,000 square-foot facility to manufacture pork, beef and poultry products. The expansion is expected to create more than 200 jobs. Boar’s Head says it is still hiring for management and associate positions.
