Jobs Announcement Slated For Gary

He will be joined by Gary Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson and executives from HMD Trucking as part of his statewide tour promoting his recently-released Next Level Jobs initiative.
The economic development announcement is slated for 2:30 p.m. Central Time.
The Next Level Jobs effort is geared toward supporting training for high-demand, high-wage jobs. It includes the Workforce Ready Grant, designed to "skill-up" Hoosiers for industries in need of trained for employees, and the Employer Training Grant help cover on-the-job training.
Earlier in the day, Holcomb, Indiana Department of High Education Commissioner Teresa Lubbers, Indiana Department of Workforce Development Chief Operating Officer Regina Ashley, and Indiana Secretary of Career Connections and Talent will join Lippert Components Inc. Chief Executive Officer Jason Lippert at the company’s Elkhart facility to further discuss the Next Level Jobs initiative.
