FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Indiana Third District congressman Marlin Stutzman and Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) are co-sponsoring a Job Fair, Friday, August 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Walb Student Union Classic Ballroom.
Nearly 50 employers with almost 1,000 jobs to fill will have booths at the job fair. The fair is designed to be beneficial to both employers and those looking for jobs.
If you're a job seeker, you can:
-Meet employers who are hiring NOW
-Network with other job seekers and business owners ● Visit dozens of employers on the same day at the same location
If you're an employer, you can:
-Showcase your small business
-Network with other business owners
-Interview numerous prospective employees on the same day
An interview training session, sponsored by WorkOne Northeast and IPFW’s Office of Career Services, will be held prior to the Job Fair, from noon to 3 p.m. in Walb Student Union. Attendees will learn how to:
-Skillfully develop conversations to highlight your experience and qualifications
-Impress employers by making yourself memorable
-Follow up with contacts after the job fair and build your professional network
Both the Job Fair and training session are free and open to the public.
