Job Fair Aimed at Veterans

More than 150 employers will be looking to fill positions with Hoosier veterans this week. The "Operation Hire a Hoosier Veteran" job fair will be Wednesday at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

The job fair will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and is free for participants. Organizers say 20 percent of participants received at least one job offer from last year’s event.

"Hoosier veterans bring a unique set of skills, leadership capabilities and experience to the table," said Senator Dan Coats (R-IN). "I encourage all interested Hoosier veterans to attend this event that will connect them to over 150 employers. This job fair consistently helps veterans find jobs, and this year will be no different."

All service members, veterans, spouses and family members are welcome to attend the event. Those who do plan to attend are asked to pre-register online.
