Two deans are leaving Ball State University. In a letter to the campus, Interim Provost Marilyn Buck said Miller of College of Business Dean Jennifer Bott and College of Architecture and Planning Dean Phil Repp will be departing for Michigan.

Bott, who has led the business college since 2016 after joining the university in 2004, has been named the next provost and vice president for academic affairs at Western Michigan University. She began as an assistant management professor and progressed through positions in Miller College including program chair for the human resource management undergraduate degree, executive director of the MBA and graduate certificate programs, assistant provost for learning initiatives and associate provost for learning initiatives.

Repp, who is Bott’s husband, spent 37 years with Ball State and will be retiring June 30. He has served as the architecture school dean for three years and held positions at the university that include vice president for information technology, associate vice president for IT and assistant professor of art.
