Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann and executives from Jasper-based Stens Corp. are slated to cut the ribbon Monday on a more than $2 million expansion. Plans call for the parts supplier to add nearly 100 new employees by 2015. September 15, 2013

News Release

JASPER, Ind. – Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann will join executives from Stens Corporation at 10 a.m. on Monday for a ribbon cutting ceremony at its expanded headquarters in Jasper.

In December 2011, the company, a global supplier of replacement parts for the outdoor power equipment industry, announced plans to invest $2.28 million to purchase, renovate and equip a 208,400 square-foot facility in southwest Indiana, adding up to 98 new jobs by 2015. Stens, which currently employs approximately 200 associates in Jasper and 275 across the country, completed its move into the new facility in July. Since Stens was founded in 1970, it has grown from an operation run out of a one-room Indiana garage to a global company with distribution centers in seven states and four countries.
