In exchange for the lowered rates,The Rescue Mission’s new facility will house classes offered by the university.
IWU National & Global has offered a 20-percent tuition discount to The Rescue Mission residents and a 10-percent tuition discount to employees and associates for all IWU-National & Global associate, bachelor and master’s degree programs, excluding programs within the School of Health Sciences, nurse practitioner programs and doctoral, residential and graduate counseling programs as part of the agreement.
“We have had a long history of going to our students rather than asking them to come to us,” said Matt Lucas, chancellor at IWU-National & Global, in a news release. “The Fort Wayne Rescue Mission excels at the second chance and providing a strong foundation for those who want to start over. By us working together, we can empower people to restart and sustain a new life.”
