Ivy Tech Scores a Trio of Grants

Ivy Tech Community College has announced three gifts totaling more than $1.5 million. The largest of will fund an expansion of a collaborative learning space on the Indianapolis campus.

The $900,000 donation from Rollie and Cheri Dick supports the Ivy Tech Associate Accelerated Program in the Corporate College and Culinary Center. The program allows students to earn a transferable associate degree in 11 months.

Dick says "Cheri and I are inspired and excited to see the remarkable progress current ASAP students have made, even in the limited space available to them. We believe students need more programs like ASAP to succeed in today’s world. Our philanthropic gift will assist in adding more space specifically designed to enhance ASAP and will also enable Ivy Tech to significantly expand the number of student who will benefit from this amazing program."

Another $500,000 for the school comes from Marianne Glick and Michael Woods and it will support regional initiatives. The JPMorgan Chase Foundation’s $120,000 will a new program called IvyWorks, which will is designed for working students and employers and involves an associate degree in Supply Chain Management/Logistics.
