Ivy Tech Community College has named three finalists for the South Bend/Elkhart chancellor post. The college says the candidates, Dr. Tia Robinson-Cooper, Dr. Nerita Hughes, and Andrew Williams, bring an expansive knowledge of higher education and experience.

Ivy Tech will host three separate community forums, one for each of the candidates, to allow the public to meet the finalists and ask questions.

Details for each candidate’s forum are listed below:

  • Dr. Tia Robinson-Cooper – Tuesday, May 10 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Dr. Nerita Hughes – Wednesday, May 11 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Mr. Andrew Williams – Thursday, May 12 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Robinson-Cooper is president at Contra Costa College in California. Prior to CCC, she was provost and vice president of academic affairs and chief academic officer at Inver Hills Community College in Minnesota.

Hughes is the dean for the School of Business, Careers, Education & Workforce Innovation at North Hennepin Community College, as well as the president and chief executive officer of JG Consulting LLC in Texas. She previously served as organizational effectiveness and development manager and workforce innovation and opportunity division manager at Ramsey County Workforce Solutions in Minnesota.

Williams currently serves as chancellor on an interim basis at the South Bend–Elkhart campus. He has worked at Ivy Tech for more than 20 years, serving in various leadership positions in finance, human resources, and facilities management.

The forums will take place at the Ivy Café, located on the college’s South Bend/Elkhart campus.
