Haire, who currently serves as deputy superintendent for Greater Clark County Schools, will begin his new role February 12.
Haire has held a number of teaching positions in southern Indiana, including stints with Jeffersonville High School and River Valley Middle School, also in Jeffersonville. He also served as assistant principal for student development at New Albany High School.
"We are pleased that Travis is joining us to lead our efforts in the Sellersburg community," Ivy Tech President Sue Ellspermann said in a news release. "His K-12 experience and collaboration with the Greater Clark industry will be a great asset as we implement our new strategic plan focused on student success and workforce alignment."
Ivy Tech says Terry Nolot, who served as interim chancellor during the search process, will continue as vice chancellor of enrollment services at the campus once Haire begins his role.
