Ivy Tech, DWD awarded apprenticeship grants

Subscribe NowThe U.S. Department of Labor has awarded more than $121 million in Apprenticeship Building America grants to 30 institutions, including two in Indiana. The money is intended to strengthen Registered Apprenticeship Programs, which are federally validated training models.
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development received a $3.9 million grant and Ivy Tech Community College was awarded $4.7 million.
The Labor Department says the grant program will allow it to expand the number of RAP that prepare participants for better-paying jobs, particularly in underrepresented and underserved communities.
