Ivy Tech Community College Northeast has promoted Kim Barnett-Johnson to vice chancellor for academic affairs. She has served in the position on an interim basis for a year and as transfer division dean since 2003. Barnett-Johnson’s new position requires her to collaborate with other faculty to plan and administer academic programs and services, coordinate the preparation of the regional class schedule, assign faculty to certain classes, and collaborate with student affairs. She received her doctorate for educational administration from Indiana State University, her master’s degree in liberal arts from Indiana University.
