Ivy Tech Appoints Leadership Positions

Ivy Tech Community College has appointed a new executive vice president for administration as well as a chief financial officer. The college says the appointments are part of a broad strategic effort to refine its leadership structure.
Matt Hawkins has been named the college’s executive vice president for administration. In this role, Ivy Tech says he will oversee all non-academic administrative areas at the college. Hawkins most recently served as senior vice president for business affairs and chief financial officer.
“This realignment of administrative services under EVP Matt Hawkins allows my deeper focus on our 19 campuses as we continue to transform the college to serve Hoosiers, employers, and our communities,” said Dr. Sue Ellspermann, president of Ivy Tech Community College. “Matt’s extensive experience and deep knowledge of higher education makes him well-equipped to lead Ivy Tech’s administration functions.”
The college says Dominick Chase will take on the role of senior vice president for business affairs and chief financial officer. He most recently served as vice president of finance & strategic sourcing.
“Dom brings tremendous experience working with faculty and academic leadership, a deep understanding of the role of finance in higher education, and expertise in transforming higher education,” said Ellspermann. “Matt and Dom have both proven time and again that they are creative, innovative, and effective leaders who are committed to the communities we serve. I believe their expanded responsibilities will help the college meet its student-centered goals.”
According to Ivy Tech, Both Hawkins and Chase served as chief financial officer for the Indiana Commission for Higher Education. Hawkins also served in financial roles at Ball State University and Butler University.
