IUPUI Program Strikes Deal With Adobe

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Living in a global, mobile, always-on world, it is imperative that students learn and master technical industry tools for use in the business world. The Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) and Adobe have partnered to provide free Adobe Technical Communication Suite (TCS) software to students in the school's new Technical Communication Bachelor of Science degree program as they prepare for their post college careers.
Adobe has provided 80 licenses to professors and students pursuing the new degree. Adobe TCS will allow students and educators to author, manage and publish interactive technical documents using FrameMaker 11, RoboHelp 10, Illustrator CS6, Captivate 6 and Presenter 8.
This package includes software that is not currently available to students and professors through Purdue School of Engineering and Technology's existing Adobe agreements. Adobe TCS will be available this fall in computer labs as well as on student and professor laptops; subscriptions are typically available for $69 per month.
“Adobe TCS will benefit our students as they learn leading industry tools that allow for increased productivity,” said Corinne Renguette, Ph.D., acting director, technical communication program, Purdue School of Engineering and Technology. “We are excited about this partnership with Adobe and their donation of this new software that will play a large part in teaching our students about the industry.”
