Tobias Center for Leadership Excellence. Julie Manning Magid, associate professor of business law in the Kelly School of Business, will begin her new role July 1.
Magid will succeed Phil Cochran, who will step down at the end of June. She has been a faculty member at the Kelly School of Business since 1999.
"Randall Tobias has given Indianapolis and the schools involved this wonderful resource," said Magid. "It is so exciting to continue to build the center to have an indelible impact in Indiana, the country and the world."
The university says the Tobias Center focuses on "multiple sectors and on both the practice and theory of leadership, distinguishing its agenda among leadership programs nationwide." Randall Tobias, chair of the IU board of trustees, says the center will be in "good hands" with Magid.
Magid also serves on the advisory council for the IUPUI Office for Women and is an editor of the American Business Law Journal.
