IUPUI Dean Leaving For Provost Job

Thursday, December 3, 2015 05:36 PM EDT
IUPUI Dean Leaving For Provost Job Agho's last day at IUPUI will be May 31.

The dean of the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at IUPUI has accepted a position with a college in Virginia. Austin Agho, who has served in the role since 2008, will be provost and vice president of academic affairs at Old Dominion University.

New IUPUI Chancellor Nasser Paydar says "Austin has done a terrific job leading the school, including raising its academic profile, gaining national recognition, and both increasing and diversifying its student enrollment."

During his time leading the program, enrollment has more than doubled. He also helped guide the establishment of three new degree programs as well as three undergraduate and two graduate certificate programs.

Agho previously served as a dean at the University of Michigan-Flint in the early 2000s.

University officials say details of the search process for Agho’s successor will be announced in "the coming weeks."
