IUPUI has appointed Brian King chair of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He has served as acting and interim chair of the department twice, most recently in 2015-16. As chair, King will play a key leadership role in developing and guiding the implementation of the school’s electrical and computer engineering plans and programs. He joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2001. King has primarily taught undergraduate and graduate courses in computer engineering. He earned a Ph.D. in mathematics as well as a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. King previously worked at Motorola Research Labs, where he was responsible for various security-related projects.
