IU, Notre Dame to Play at Victory Field

Two Hoosier college baseball teams are set to face off once again at Victory Field in Indianapolis next spring. The ballpark will host a game between Indiana University and the University of Notre Dame, which will take place in April.
The two teams have a long-standing rivalry, dating back to 1898. Notre Dame leads the all-time series 68-33-1 and has won seven of the last eight games. The last time the schools met at Victory Field was in 2015, when IU won 6-5.
"Bringing this intra-state baseball rivalry back to Victory Field and downtown Indianapolis is exciting not only for the fans and alumni of both schools, but for the student-athletes as well," said Randy Lewandowski, general manager of the Indianapolis Indians. "We are eager to provide another great experience in what we expect to be an intense game between two of our state’s best."
This will be the fourth consecutive year IU has played a game at Victory Field. Earlier this year, IU faced Ball State University and won by a score of 4-3.
