A northwest Indiana school is reporting another record year. The number of students enrolled for fall classes at Indiana University Northwest in Gary is up more than three percent from last academic year. July 3, 2014

News Release

Gary, Ind. — The Fall 2013 semester at Indiana University Northwest started with a record-breaking student enrollment of nearly 6,400 students, an all-time high and a 3.3 percent increase over the previous year’s enrollment.

The record marked the campus’s sixth consecutive year of increased enrollment.

The campus attributed the increase in students to strong and strategic recruitment efforts, aimed at academic honor and transfer students, and adult learners, as well as continued commitment to student retention initiatives.
