BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana University Maurer School of Law has expanded its scholarship and mentorship program to five more colleges and universities across the Midwest, reaching agreements with Albion College, Coe College, DePauw University, the Iowa State College of Engineering and Kenyon College.
Each program will offer at least two graduates from each school admitted to the Maurer School of Law scholarships amounting to approximately 50 percent of annual tuition, along with access to a formal mentoring program. The scholarship will reduce the cost of law school tuition over three years by $45,000 to $75,000, depending on the student’s residency and other factors.
Students admitted from the Iowa State College of Engineering will be enrolled in a formal mentorship program with the law school's Center for Intellectual Property Research and offered a research assistant position in their second year.
The partnerships take effect immediately, and students and alumni from all five schools can begin applying now for fall admission.
The addition of these latest partnerships brings the law school to more than 20 such unique agreements with colleges, universities and organizations across the country, including five prestigious women’s colleges, Princeton and the Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund.

Rudy Professor of Law. “Albion, Coe and Kenyon are three terrific institutions in the Midwest, and we're very pleased to support our top-ranked intellectual property program through recruiting talented engineers from Iowa State.”
As one of oldest law schools in the country and Indiana's top-ranked public law school, the IU Maurer School of Law has a history of developing deep relationships with other prestigious institutions in higher education, both in the United States and abroad.
As part of an initiative to recruit the best and brightest in Indiana, the law school has also partnered with IU's School of Public and Environmental Affairs and Jacobs School of Music, as well as with three programs administered by the university's Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Multicultural Affairs.
The law school has also partnered with three other schools in Indiana: Purdue University College of Engineering, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute and Wabash College in Crawfordsville. The law school's other scholarship programs are with the Georgia Institute of Technology, Knox College, Vassar College, Bryn Mawr College, Mills College, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, Wellesley College, Dartmouth College, Grinnell College, Rochester College and Princeton University.
