The university says Hire IU is a resource for employers looking to strengthen their workforce and recruit IU students and recent graduates.
IU says the website serves as the starting point to help employers connect to career services opportunities across the university and state.
“Together with the university-wide adoption of Handshake last year, this represents a revolution in the way that employers interact with IU and IU students – a single platform gives employers access to prospective employees, and students to prospective employers,” said John Applegate, executive vice president for university academic affairs.
IU says the website utilizes Handshake, a job recruiting platform, whereby any size employer can post jobs and internships at all IU campuses or a specific location.
Indiana University has more than 90,000 degree-seeking students across seven campuses and online. IU students represent all 92 Indiana counties, all 50 states and 167 countries.
Featuring an alumni base of over 725,000, Indiana University’s career services are focused on developing the eight transferrable skills that employers value most by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE):• Career & Self-Development• Communication• Critical Thinking• Equity & Inclusion• Leadership• Professionalism• Teamwork• Technology
