The Indiana University Jacobs School of Music has appointed saxophonist Walter Smith to associate professor of music in jazz studies. He is an accomplished performer, composer and educator. Smith’s most recent album was a top-10 best seller on iTunes and he has performed all over the world in venues and international festivals. He holds a degree from Berklee College of Music, a master’s degree from Manhattan School of Music and a Graduate Certificate in Performance from the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz to teach the next generation of jazz students.
