IU Health Saxony Names New Leaders

Indiana University Health Saxony Hospital has named a new chief operating officer and a new chief medical officer. Soula Banich is the new COO and Larry Stevens is chief medical officer.
Banich most recently served as IU Health North and Saxony Hospitals director of allied health and cardiovascular services. She will continue in those roles and also take on new responsibilities. Prior to her decade of work at IU Health, Banich was deployment leader and project manager at Riley Hospital for Children. She holds a master’s degree in health administration from IUPUI.
Stevens is a general surgeon who also will serve as medical director of general surgery services development for IU Health Saxony and Tipton hospitals. He previously was president of the IU Health North Hospital medical staff and as a member of the IU Health North board. He also most recently served as medical director of perioperative services at IU Health Methodist Hospital. Stevens is also a member or the IU Health board of directors.
