IU School of Medicine Promotes Pang

The Indiana University School of Medicine has promoted Peter Pang to department chair for clinical, education and research programs. He has served as interim chair since October 2019.
Pang joined the IU School of Medicine department of emergency medicine in 2014 and in 2018 was appointed to the newly created role of vice chair for strategic innovation. He was named vice chair for operations and clinical strategy.
Pang graduated from Brown University and attended medical school at the University of Texas-San Antonio. He completed his emergency medicine residency at the Harvard-affiliated Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital before earning his master of science in clinical investigation from Northwestern University.
His first faculty appointment was at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine where he held various positions during his 10-year tenure, including associate chief and the associate director of experimental therapeutics within the Center for Cardiovascular Innovation.
