Indiana University Health has named Crystal Hinson Miller chief philanthropy officer, effective January 23. She comes from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she served as associate dean for advancement at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and executive director for the UNC-Chapel Hill Public Health Foundation Inc. Miller also previously served as vice president for children’s programs at the Medical Foundation of North Carolina. She has also held leadership roles in the UNC School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry, at Appalachian State University and the Appalachian Loyalty Fund. Miller has a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a master’s in special education from Appalachian State University.
