Susie Danielson Anderson, daughter of Danny and Patty Danielson, presented the gift to the Danielson Learning Center in New Castle.
Anderson said this latest gift was directed from her parents’ estate. She said her parents’ faith was a main factor behind the gift and that her parents wanted to continue to support higher education for the residents of Henry County.
“It is with great joy that my sisters and I present this gift of $100,000 to the Indiana University Foundation for the benefit of the IU East Danielson Center," said Anderson. "Our hope, and theirs, is that it will result in much good to others and thanksgiving to God."
The Danielson Learning Center was opened in 1999 thanks in part to the Danielson’s gift of $250,000 and their efforts to raise even more funds. Anderson also presented checks to the Henry County Community Foundation, the Henry County YMCA and the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame, all of which the Danielsons had a hand in establishing.
