Indiana University is planning to launch at least six “Gateway” offices throughout the world. The school already has locations in China and India, which are expected to be followed by offices in Turkey and Germany. Details emerged during a board of trustees meeting at IUPUI Thursday.

The announcement is part of the university's focus on extending its international reach.

President Michael McRobbie recently returned from a trip to the office in Turkey and is set to visit the Indian office later this month.

The offices serve as centers for events, not campuses.
