Indiana University men's basketball is on a list of the country's most valuable programs. Forbes ranks the schools based on money generated for athletic departments, academic programming and conferences. The publications ranks IU fifth at more than $25 million, including almost $17 million in profit.

Forbes used financial information from the 2012-2013 season, a season where the team made its second-consecutive Sweet Sixteen appearence.

Results, which include data from the U.S. Department of Education as well as other sources from the schools, suggest IU netted nearly $2 million for the Big Ten Conference.

The four teams ranked higher than IU are:

1. University of Louisville

2. Kansas University

3. University of Kentucky

4. University of North Carolina
