Italpollina to Open New HQ
Italy-based Italpollina will Friday cut the ribbon on its $9 million North American headquarters in Anderson. The facility, for which ground was broken in mid-2016, is located on the former GM Scatterfield site.
When plans for the 70,000-square-foot facility were first announced, Italpollina said the project would create 35 jobs in Anderson. The company produces organic fertilizers, vegetable-based biostimulants and what it calls beneficial microorganisms.
In December 2017 as construction on the facility continued, Italpollina announced it would build a nearby science and technology park. The company has not provided an updated timetable on that project’s completion.
