IT Company Plans to Triple Work Force

Indianapolis-based Kinney Group Inc. is planning to add nearly 90 jobs with a planned $5.8 million expansion. The company is a provider of information technology infrastructure solutions for public agencies and the private sector.
Kinney Group currently employs more than 40 and says it intends to begin hiring immediately for IT and software positions. The Indiana Economic Development Corp. says the jobs are expected to pay more than 80 percent higher than the state average.
The company plans to complete a renovation and expansion at its current facility by 2019.
Chief Executive Officer Jim Kinney says "with leaders at both the city and state committed to our expansion efforts, Indiana has truly cultivated a compelling environment for information technology companies to grow and thrive. The IT markets where our firm plays are hyper-competitive, and we feel confident that the investments we make in our Indiana-based headquarters and people, along with access to bright talent from across the state, will provide us with competitive advantage for many years to come."
The Kinney Group is slated to receive around $1.3 million in conditional support from the IEDC as a result of the planned expansion.
