The Indiana State University Division of University Advancement has named Danny Plasencia assistant director of athletics and director of the Sycamore Athletic Fund. He will begin this role on December 2 and will oversee fundraising efforts of the department of athletics.

Plasencia most recently served as director of championships and director of development at the University of Louisville. In these roles, he oversaw NCAA and ACC Tournaments and raised philanthropic support for the Cardinal Athletic Fund.

Plasencia earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisville and was a student athlete as a member of the baseball team. He also has an MBA from the University of Tampa and earned his JD from the New York Law School.
