Nate Green, who currently serves as an account executive with Indianapolis-based ONI Risk Partners, will begin his new role August 6.
The organization says Green will oversee the day-to-day operations of the club as well as implement its new strategic plan. Board President Dave Friedrich says Green’s skillset and ties to the community will be important to the club’s growth.
"Countless number of youths who have entered the Terre Haute Boys and Girls Club doors have been provided opportunities and guidance that has positively impacted their lives. It’s humbling to be selected to have a direct part in those efforts," Green said in a news release. "To be a part of a young person’s growth is special in every sense. The resources and programs that the club provides are more important than ever. Adolescents across the country, including here in the Wabash Valley, are faced with unique challenges. They’re growing up with a much different set of outside influences than we’ve ever seen. It’s vital that the club continues to provide the safest and most positive place possible."
Green played basketball for Indiana State, where he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees, before spending nearly 10 years playing professional basketball in the U.S., Europe and Australia. He returned to Terre Haute after his sports career came to an end.
