Indiana State University and Ball State University have announced new deans. Christopher Olsen has been named dean for the College of Arts and Sciences at ISU and Phil Repp is now dean of Ball State’s College of Architecture and Planning. Each previously led their respective colleges on an interim basis.

Olsen joined the ISU faculty in 1999 and served as history department chair from 2002. The college is the largest on the Terre Haute campus. Olsen holds a Ph.D. from the University of Florida, a master’s from the University of Nebraska and a bachelor’s from North Dakota State University.

Repp’s appointment is effective June 1. He has been Ball State’s vice president for information technology since 2008 and previously served as associate vice president for IT beginning in 2002. Repp came to Ball State in 1981 as an assistant professor of art. He has a master’s from Michigan State University and a bachelor’s from Bowling Green State University.
