She will serve as a liaison between ISDA and the Indiana Department of Education. Barkman previously taught agriculture education at Triton Central and Beech Grove City Schools. Her new role includes supporting course framework and ag-based curriculum in schools. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.
