Geronimo Hospitality Group has named Anthony Richardson general manager at Ironworks Hotel Indy, the 120-room boutique hotel located at Keystone Crossing. Most recently, he oversaw operations at the 196-room boutique Hotel Preston in Nashville. At Ironworks, Richardson will be responsible for onboarding and recruiting new staff, managing employees and guest stays and ensuring the hotel’s profitability.

He is an Indianapolis native who joins the Ironworks team with more than 10 years of experience in the lodging industry throughout cities in Indiana, Florida and Tennessee. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in hospitality and tourism management with a concentration in lodging management, and a minor in organizational leadership and supervision from Purdue University.

“I’m so excited to take on this new role with Geronimo Hospitality Group and uphold the outstanding reputation that Ironworks Hotel Indy has built over the years,” said Richardson. “I grew up two miles away from the hotel so I have a sense of responsibility to do everything I can to enhance the impact that Ironworks has on this community.”

In 2021 alone, Ironworks Hotel Indy is ranked the #1 hotel in Indianapolis and the #1 hotel in Indiana by US News & World Report. It also won Trip Advisor’s Traveler’s Choice Best of the Best award and the Loved by Guests Award from Hotels.com.

“Anthony brings with him a great knowledge of the industry and the Indianapolis market,” said Erin McDonald, Vice President of Lodging at Geronimo Hospitality Group. “We’re thrilled to have him as part of the team and we’re excited to watch him lead Ironworks Hotel Indy.”
