Ironworks Hotel Indy, the first boutique hotel on Indianapolis’ north side, has hired Amy Isbell-Williams as general manager. She will oversee all operations for the hotel. Isbell-Williams’ 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry will be instrumental in ensuring a successful grand opening this fall. With three hotel openings in Indiana already under her belt, Isbell-Williams’ brings a wealth of experience to her position that includes SpringHill Suites in Carmel, Holiday Inn Express in Terre Haute and Hyatt Place in Bloomington. As general manager of Ironworks Hotel Indy, her responsibilities will include recruiting and onboarding staff and managing employees, guests and the hotel’s profitability.

Isbell-Williams served as general manager for White Lodging Services, Dora Hotel Co. and General Hotels Corp. In addition to managing three hotel openings for the hospitality businesses, Isbell-Williams also oversaw two full guestroom and lobby renovations. In 2013, Isbell-Williams was recognized as the Intercontinental Hotel Group’s Newcomer of the Year.

In the coming months, nearly 40 people will be hired to staff the hotel, which does not include the retail space of the development.
