IPFW has announced plans to assume management of its student housing operation this fall. The university’s student housing has been overseen by American Campus Communities since it opened in 2004.
ACC will continue to manage housing through September 30, including leasing for the summer and fall 2017 semesters. The university says it intends to offer current ACC staff members the chance to join IPFW.
"With over 12 years of experience, we are confident we can take direct management of student housing and provide a quality experience and many opportunities for our student residents," said Eric Norman, chief student affairs officer and dean of students. "The savings realized from assuming management of housing will help assure the operation is fully self-supporting."
IPFW says it will work with student residents and housing employees to ensure a smooth transition.
