Girl Scouts will learn about STEM careers this weekend at IPFW. Organizers say Saturday's one-day STEM conference in Fort Wayne will feature hands-on activities and career sessions.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Area girl scouts will gather Saturday, May 30, for “Lighting the Way to a Brighter Future,” the second annual STEM conference presented by IPFW-NISTEM and the Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana–Michiana, along with the Fort Wayne Community Schools (FWCS).

The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Walb Student Union on the campus of Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW).

Event Schedule

– 9 a.m. – noon: Career exploration sessions for girls in grades 6-12

– 1 – 4 p.m.: Hands-on activities for girls in grades K-5
