IPFW, Sweetwater to Announce Partnership

The university says the partnership is related to its new School of Music, which is being established as part of the realigned Purdue University Fort Wayne.
The Purdue Board of Trustees last month announced the creation of the school with a $1 million grant from the English-Bonter-Mitchell Foundation and a $1 million allocation from the state. The new School of Music will be the first of its kind in Purdue’s history and will offer degrees in music technology, commercial music, and music industry studies.
IPFW Chancellor Ron Elsenbaumer will join Sweetwater founder and President Chuck Surack and Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry for the news conference, which is slated to begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Sweetwater headquarters.
