The inX3 tech and entrepreneurship week continues today in Indianapolis with the Winners Circle, where 2017 TechPoint Mira Award winners will meet with representatives from growth-stage venture capital firms. Yesterday, Jeffersonville-based Inscope Medical Solutions took the top prize in the Venture Club of Indiana’s Innovation Showcase Pitch Competition. The medical device company will receive a $100,000 prize package.
Indianapolis-based DemandJump used its pitch to launch Traffic Cloud, which Chief Executive Officer Christopher Day believes could become a multi-billion-dollar platform for the company. He says the technology overlays a company’s digital ecosystem with data from its competitors, then uses prescriptive analytics to show companies what to do next.
Inscope Medical Solutions won the competition with its device called the Inscope Direct, which is used to pass a breathing tube into a patient when that person cannot breathe on his or her own. A panel of investors chose Inscope out of a field of 25 companies to receive the top prize.
Today’s Winners’ Circle event will take place at the Biltwell Events Center southwest of Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis. It will involve more than 40 scale-up companies meeting with over 30 out-of-state investors. You can find more on the event by clicking here.
