inX Growing, Coming to IMS

Jeffersonville-based Inscope Medical Solutions took the top prize in last year's Innovation Showcase.

Organizers of inX have set the date and location of the second entrepreneurship and innovation event. This year’s gathering is set for September 18-20 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Last year’s event drew more than 1,400 attendees.

The speaker lineup for the inaugural event last year included IMAX Corp. (NYSE: IMAX) founder David Breukelman and Indianapolis-based First Internet Bancorp (Nasdaq: INBK) Chief Executive Officer David Becker. It also featured TechPoint’s Winner’s Circle, Launch Fishers’ FailFest and the Indy Civic Hack.

In addition, inX, then known as inX3, hosted a pitch competition last year, organized by The Venture Club of Indiana. Jeffersonville-based Inscope Medical Solutions took the top prize package of $100,000.

ClearObject CEO and event co-founder John McDonald says this year’s gathering "will be grander in scale, expanding upon the original platform, looking more like Indy’s SXSW with more local cultural elements."
