Inventrek Lands Another Certification

The recently-reopened Inventrek Technology Park in Kokomo has received a major designation. The facility, which suffered significant tornado damage last August, has been certified AT&T Fiber Ready.
Greater Kokomo Economic Development Alliance CEO Charlie Sparks says the designation gives Inventrek and Kokomo a competitive advantage when talking to potential companies. AT&T says the designation reflects the availability of fiber-based, high-speed Internet.
"We’re investing in high-speed internet in urban and rural areas across Indiana using the latest wired and wireless technologies, and we are proud to highlight Inventrek as one of many places in the Hoosier State where AT&T’s fiber infrastructure is in place and ready to help local businesses drive job creation,” said AT&T Indiana President Bill Soards. "Positive, pro-business policies embraced by Indiana’s state and local elected officials continue to make our state a great place to invest."
Inventrek reopened in May following a $3.4 million renovation. While restoration work was going on, the facility in February regained its certification as a State Certified Technology Park.
The facility is home to Howard County’s first coworking space, The Shared Drive, and Greater Kokomo Economic Development Alliance office.
