International Exchange Adds Indianapolis Art Museum

The Indianapolis Museum of Art has joined an international consortium. The 30-member French American Museum Exchange promotes cultural exchange among museums in France and North America.
Other members of FRAME include the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Cleveland Museum of Art, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and Musée des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux in France.
IMA Chief Executive Officer Charles Venable says "we are honored to join the dynamic FRAME network. Having worked with FRAME earlier in my career, I know the rewards that being part of FRAME can bring. The increased ability to exchange ideas, as well as works of art, with sister institutions across France and North America on a regular basis though this dynamic network will undoubtedly energize the IMA staff. In the end, this will benefit our visitors and the city through more national and international IMA programming."
IMA says FRAME aims to foster lasting partnerships among its members to develop innovative exhibitions and public programs. The Indianapolis museum is part of an induction class that includes The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Le Petit Palais, Musée des Beaux-Arts de La Ville de Paris and Les Musées de la Ville de Nancy.
The international organization was founded in 1999.
