This year’s fifth edition will return to Blackthorn Golf Club June 17-19 and feature more than 140 golfers from the Symetra Tour.
The tour is a precursor to the LPGA and organizers say 40 participants have parlayed success at the event and on the tour into appearances with the LPGA. The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians and its Four Winds Casinos are once again title sponsor of the event, which includes a $150,000 purse. The Four Winds Invitational has helped drum up nearly $270,000 in event proceeds for Memorial Children’s Hospital in South Bend over the last four years.
Band Chairman John Warren says "we are proud to bring back the Four Winds Invitational to South Bend for a fifth straight year. The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians has lived in this region for hundreds of years and this is just one of many ways in which we continually reinvest in the community we call home. We have a great partnership with the Symetra Tour and thank all the volunteers in the community who have made the tournament such a success."
Additional details of the event are set to be announced in the coming months.
