Interactive Intelligence Awards $225K in Grants

Subscribe NowThe Indianapolis-based Interactive Intelligence Foundation has awarded approximately $225,000 in grants for 2016. The 12 recipients will use the money to assist at-risk youth, both locally and throughout the world.
The organization says the recipients were chosen based on their alignment with the foundation’s mission. The grants will be used for a number of purposes, including summer STEM education programs, summer camp funding for economically-challenged and visually impaired youth, a mobile STEM classroom, weekend food supplies for in-need youth and other hands-on learning programs.
"We received 149 deserving grant applications, and only wish we could have said yes to them all," said Joe Adams, foundation president and Interactive Intelligence senior product manager. "To our recipients, we are grateful to help such worthy and diverse organizations, and hope these grants will create added opportunities for disadvantaged youth."
The recipients include:

- Christel House Academy, Indianapolis
- Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis, Indianapolis
- Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, Indianapolis
- Happy Hollow Children’s Camp, Indianapolis
- Informatics: Diversity-Enhanced Workforce (iDEW) Indianapolis
- Indiana Blind Children’s Foundation, Indianapolis
- The Julian Center, Indianapolis
- PennyLane Centers, North Hills, CA
- Teach for America Indianapolis, Indianapolis
- TRAC SA, South Africa
The Interactive Intelligence Foundation is the charitable arm of Interactive Intelligence Group Inc. (Nasdaq ININ). The organization says it has raised over $1.5 million since it was created in 2010.
